IEEH concludes Meeting with media with more than 100 attendees

The State Electoral Institute of Hidalgo (IEEH) satisfactorily concluded the “Meeting with the Media: Relevant Data for the Coverage of the Hidalgo 2024 Elections”, which was addressed to representatives of local media from April 2 to 5 in Pachuca de Soto in the facilities of the District Councils 04 Huejutla de Reyes, 05 Ixmiquilpan, 11 Tulancingo de Bravo and 14 Tula de Allende.

Through 6 broadcasts in the 5 aforementioned venues, more than 100 representatives of various media outlets were trained by Electoral Departments, as well as by Heads and personnel assigned to the Executive Directorates and Technical Units of this Institute.

The topics addressed at this Meeting were: Federal and local positions to be elected; Important dates of the Local Electoral Process 2023-2024; Inclusive Candidacy Nomination Rules; Institutional Actions regarding Political Violence against Women on Gender Reasons; Special Sanctioning Procedures; Campaign Spending Caps; Debates; System of Candidates, Get to know them; Preliminary Electoral Results Program; Early Voting; Vote of People in Preventive Detention and Special Counting Sessions, among others.

During the opening ceremony, the Presidential Counselor María Magdalena González Escalona, ​​mentioned that the importance of these Meetings lies in continuing to strengthen the permanent approach of this Institute with the various media, since it is through these that a bridge is woven and maintained. of constant communication with citizens. Likewise, he specified that this activity allows media representatives to ensure a broad and detailed understanding of the aspects related to the organization of the Local Electoral Process and placed special emphasis on the fact that maximum publicity, being a principle of the electoral function, helps guarantee free, transparent and equitable elections.

In this way, this Institute contributes to information coverage that has the necessary information regarding the organization and development of the 2023-2024 Local Electoral Process and ahead of the Election Day on June 2.
