If I were in that position, I would have taken them to court; Ian Chappell lashes out at Australian cricket

Cricket Australia is making moves to attract foreign talent and retain local players for the upcoming season of the Big Bash League. However, it can be seen that the league will fail.

Many Aussies have come forward to participate in the new league that will be launched in the UAE. Opening batsman David Warner and opening batsman Chris Lynn are prominent in this group.

There are reports that Cricket Australia will not issue a ‘No Objection Certificate’ to Chris Lynn. Chris Lynn is the highest run scorer in BBL. But he did not renew his contract with Brisbane Heat after last season. He has registered himself as a marquee player in the UAE league, but it is unclear whether Lin will play.

Former Aussie captain Ian Chappell has come forward to support Lynn in this crisis. He criticized the Australian team if he were in Lynn’s position.

He asked what would be wrong with sending Lynn, who is out of contract with his state teams Queensland and Brisbane, to the UAE league.

‘He should take the Australian Cricket Board to court. If he doesn’t have a contract with Cricket Australia or Queensland then why stop him? “If I was in his place, I would have taken Cricket Australia to court,” Chappell said.

He further spoke about the growing influence of T20 cricket and IPL.

“If you have an IPL contract and have to choose the Australian league or the UAE league, you don’t want to jeopardize your IPL contract by choosing the former,” he added.
