The Indian selectors have to hear a lot of criticism for including Rishabh Pant in India’s World Cup squad. Many people came forward saying that it was not right to include Rishabh Pant who was out of form in the team and it was a wrong decision to give Pant a chance after Sanju Samson.

Not only Sanju fans and some fans of Indian cricket, even foreign cricketers were against Pant’s inclusion in the team.

But now former Aussie player Matthew Hayden has come up with a completely different opinion. The former Aussie opening batsman said that Rishabh Pant is a very talented player and therefore the Indian team should support him.

In the first match of Australia-India series, India fielded Dinesh Karthik instead of Ball. But Dinesh Karthik’s dismissal after scoring just six runs was a setback for the team. After this, Hayden has come saying that it is necessary to put the ball on the field.

“If I were the selector, I would have selected Rishabh Pant in any format. He is the future. India should be ready to support the ball and give more time. No matter how you look at it, he is a one-and-done player. So my opinion is that he should be played no matter what,’ said Hayden.

Hayden’s words must have given Ball much excitement and enthusiasm. Because a few days ago former Pak star spinner Danish Kaneria came out criticizing the ball.

He spoke out against Pant’s inclusion in the squad while also criticizing Sanju Samson for hitting him.

Kaneria said that the talent of the players should be considered while making the team selection and not the relationship with the senior players. Kaneria also says that given Pant’s recent performances, he should never be an automatic selection.

Kaneria said these things through his YouTube channel. ‘India should put aside their friendlies and announce the team. Rishabh Pant has never been a good T20 player. He is best suited for 50 over matches and Test cricket.

Pant is a great player. But to the question whether he deserves a place in India’s T20 squad, I feel no,” says Kaneria.
