After their defeat in the CAN final, Mohamed Salah’s Egypt once again lost to Senegal in the final of the 2022 World Cup play-offs in the Africa zone. But the Pharaohs lived a real hell in Diamniadio.
Liverpool and Netherlands National Team captain Virgil Van Dijk has reacted to club mate Sadio Mané’s qualification for the 2022 World Cup at the expense of Mohamed Salah. After the Netherlands’ friendly match against Germany, Virgil van Dijk was asked about his teammate Mohamed Salah’s new defeat with Egypt against Sadio Mané’s Senegal in the 2022 World Cup play-offs. And, the central defender of the Reds is already starting hostilities. He warns the African Champion of the last CAN two days before the draw for the group stage of the World Cup. “Did he lose? first questioned Van Dijk. After realizing that Salah has been beaten again, he adds: “Well, obviously I’m sorry for Mo [Salah] and for Egypt, but football is sometimes like that. I’m sure he will turn disappointment into success for the rest of the season.”
The Dutch giant also warned to send a warning to Sadio Mané two days before the draw for the group stage of the 2022 World Cup. “As for Sadio, I wish him the best and if they fall into our group, he going to need this good luck,” continued Virgil van Dijk. The draw for the Qatar 2022 World Cup will take place this Friday from 4 p.m.
