In fact, the interface is quite similar to that of the module launched at the end of 2020 and associated with SmartThings, with small changes and improvements but with an identical idea: that we can find any of our Galaxy devices or any user Share the location with us, in a matter of a few seconds and geolocating the positions on a complete map.
The new app has been published in the last few hours in the Galaxy Store, although it arrives pre-installed on any Samsung Galaxy terminal with One UI 6.1. As I’m sure many are interested, its weight in memory is 69.76 MB exactly, at least for the version 1.0.40 (2024.01.29) which is the most recent.

As for possibilities, the truth is that we have a similar functionality to archrival Apple’s Find Mywith a known interface as it is almost identical to that of the SmartThings Find service that we already enjoyed in our Galaxy.
The available options have been improved, and now the location opens not only to Galaxy devices connected to our Samsung accountbut we can also find friends or family who share the location with us.

And of course, you should know that, although Samsung’s SmartTag locator labels only work with Galaxy devices, the Find service will work without an Internet connection thanks to Bluetooth LE technologies (Low Energy) y UWB (UltraWide Band), which make connections with nearby devices possible while spending very little energy.
Any Samsung mobile that passes near a device will be able to read the beacons and The system will automatically send a notification to the complainant, indicating the specific position of the device.
