Riot Games brings news to Ignis Cup 2023

Riot Games today released news on the 2023 season of the inclusive League of Legends circuit in Brazil – dedicated to cis, trans or non-binary women. After positive feedback from the community, players and professionals, Riot Games is increasing its investment in the Ignis Cup 2023 and the objective with this scenario is that new talents can develop and prosper in a competitive and welcoming way. Now the competition will have two stages, with the final match being played in person, with an audience, at the Riot Games studios.

Ignis Cup 2023 Tournament, on the inclusive League of Legends circuit, will feature two stages, a new prize pool and the debut of the Ignis Academy

In addition, in partnership with Santander, this year the Ignis Academy debuts – a series of amateur League of Legends tournaments, produced by independent organizers to reinforce the Ignis Cup calendar. The idea is that those who want to start their competitive experiences or even test their skills in tournaments will be able to count on Ignis Academy as the first step in their careers in LOL Esports. There will be six championships and in the cycle Circuit Points will be counted for the participating teams and at the end of the season, the two best teams will have the chance to play with the presence of the public at the CBLOL Arena.

FORMAT

There will be three Open Qualifiers for each Stage, with eight teams qualifying for the Ignis Cup playoffs. In these qualifiers, we will work with a Circuit Points system. In this way, consistency throughout the three qualifiers will be essential for the teams to advance to the next stage. Below, see the schedule of qualifiers for the First Stage – registration for which will open on March 16th.
• Qualifier 1: March 30th to April 2nd
