In Class 2A action, Chicago Crane defeated Chicago Christ the King 52-45. Chicago Clark will face Chicago Hope Academy on Wednesday. Class 3A also saw several games finalized. Decatur MacArthur posted a significant win over Chicago Centennial, 85-63, while Morton defeated LaSalle-Peru 69-48. East Peoria is set to play Kankakee on Wednesday.

Class 4A Competition

The Class 4A bracket is also taking shape. Fremd defeated Stevenson 74-65, and Hersey beat Palatine 64-50. Richwoods narrowly defeated Normal Community 68-67, and Edwardsville won a close contest against Alton 52-51 in overtime. Rockford Auburn secured a victory over Gurnee Warren 84-76, and Rockford Guilford defeated Waukegan 63-57. Chicago DePaul Prep defeated New Trier 56-38.

Several other Class 4A matchups are scheduled for Wednesday, including Glenbard North versus York, Bolingbrook against Neuqua Valley, Chicago Simeon versus St. Ignatius, Lockport facing Marist, Loyola versus Evanston, and Springfield versus Normal U-High. These games will determine the teams advancing to Friday’s sectional championship games.
