He SES University Hospital of Caldas will host, next Thursday and Friday, the II Congress of Engineering – Formal Sciences Applied to Health. The event, free of charge, is dedicated to healthcare personnel and students of the union.

There, topics that have that connotation of engineering and medicine. Local experts and external guests will attend. Professionals from Risaralda and Valle del Cauca.

Invitation

Doctor Óscar Jaramillo, director of Education and Research of the SES, stressed that – in institutions – the provision of services has some problems that are usually resolved through pure sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, electricity, etc.) and technology, with engineers. He stressed that that is why it is worth betting on events of this type.

“We will unite with the universities, which have those pure sciences and those technologies (the Autonomous, the Caldas, the Manizales, the National of Colombia and the Technological of Pereira) so that, together, we can look for solutions to the challenges that arise in our daily lives,” said Jaramillo.

This, according to the director, will be a meeting that will be useful to attendees to broaden the horizon of health sciences: “It will serve to identify the great association that medicine has with science and its application in multiple areas. “This knowledge can solve problems for us in the sector.”
