IIT Madras alumnus Pawan Davuluri heads Microsoft Windows

mDras IIT alumnus Pawan Davuluri has been appointed as the head of Microsoft’s Windows and Surface divisions. Pawan Davuluri was appointed when Panos Panai, who headed these sections, stepped down.

After Panay’s departure, the Surface and Windows teams were moved under two heads. Surface Silicon’s operations were overseen by Pawan Davuluri. Mihail Parakhin was in charge of Windows. But following Parakhin stepped down, Davuluri was given the task of overseeing both sections.

Davuluri has been part of Microsoft for over 23 years. After completing his PG from University of Maryland, he completed his MS there. He was first hired at Microsoft as Reliability Component Manager.

Rajesh Jha, head of Microsoft Experience and Devices, announced the new changes in the company. Davuluri will be appointed under Rajesh. Along with this, the company also announced that Windows Experience is integrating Windows Devices team members. These decisions are part of changing ways of working in the AI ​​era. This team will be led by Davuluri. Shilpa Ranganathan and Jeff Johnson and their teams will be under Pawan. The Windows team will work closely with the Microsoft AI, Silicon, and Experience teams.
