Illegal mosques, enough with “illegality and propaganda”. Ceccardi’s plan –

Christian Campigli

A battle of civilization, for respect for our traditions, civil coexistence and our laws. A diatribe to be resolved in our cities first, and then in Brussels. An issue on which the left, not today, turns a deaf ear. Susanna Ceccardi, MEP of the League, returns to the Islam issue during a meeting organized in her Tuscany. “Census unauthorized places of worship and prevent illegal situations from persisting there, replicating at a national level the model of the municipality of Grosseto which led to the closure of an illegal mosque disguised as a fake Islamic cultural centre. The closure of the illegal mosque in Via Trento took place thanks to a series of investigations, including photographic ones, carried out by the local police, which documented that no cultural activity was carried out in those premises but exclusively prayer – underlined Ceccardi -. This is proof that mayors already have the tools to intervene and restore the legality and safety loudly requested by citizens. In these places of worship, financed by no one knows who, there is in fact the risk that someone could propagate ideas and concepts that are incompatible with our values, our rights, our freedoms. I am thinking of the Islamic patriarchy for which women are worth less than men and for which Islamic law must prevail over Italian law, as unfortunately recent cases in the news also highlight. I therefore invite the mayors to report situations of irregularity present in their municipalities to contribute to the national census and, where possible, to intervene directly”.

No Father's Day in a Roman kindergarten. “Inclusion”, the ax of political correctness

The mayor of Grosseto, Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna, is also on the same line: “What we did on Via Trento with the ordinance issued is a necessary act: I have a fully secular approach to my role. And I embrace article 19 of the Constitution which provides for absolute freedom to profess one’s faith, to propagandize it and to practice worship. But compliance with the laws must always be guaranteed. This did not happen in Via Trento, with clear violations of the rules on the intended use of the premises and with serious safety issues, with hundreds of people crowded into just 169 m2. A mayor has a duty to intervene: I invite my colleagues to do the same, without having the fear of exposing themselves or attracting criticism from a politicized part of public opinion”.
