But as the Belgian has grown older, his future at the club has also been a subject of discussion. Among other things, he has been rumored to clubs in MLS and Saudi Arabia.
In an interview with Dutch HLN, he announces – at the moment, the star player wants to continue playing in the light blue jersey.
– Stay in the City? Yes, yes… I have read many headlines regarding a possible transfer to Saudi Arabia, but I have not spoken to anyone, he tells the newspaper and continues:
– I have never indicated that I want to leave.
At the same time, the midfielder does not boast that the Saudi or American steals are alluring.
– I have more than enough money. But if an absurd sum is presented, then it is also regarding my family, my relatives, my grandchildren, great-grandchildren and my friends, he says.
Kevin De Bruyne’s contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2025.
