Impaired faculties: a lady gives the police a hard time

A woman in her forties who obviously wanted to drive while she was impaired gave the Saguenay police a hard time on the night of Wednesday to Thursday.

The case took place in the borough of Chicoutimi.

According to Lieutenant Stéphane Pellerin, of the Saguenay Police Service (SPS), it was a citizen who first arrested the suspect to dissuade her from driving.

She would then have become angry and would have started to be threatening towards the Good Samaritan.

There was a police trip. “We were able to pick up the lady before she left in her vehicle. She was learning how to do it,” says Mr. Pellerin.

“The lady in question was very aggressive, got disorganized. Once at the police station, [elle] kicked, etc., so assaulted the police.”

The woman refused to submit to the breathalyzer test, which will likely earn her an additional charge.

She ended the night in detention and was to be released on conditions at the start of the day on Thursday.

On the other hand, Mr. Pellerin speaks of a night that was “very busy” for the police.

In addition, in another case, an individual known to the authorities and struggling with a mental health problem had to be arrested because he allegedly threatened to set fire to his block of apartments, in addition to declaring death threats to social workers, mentioned the police lieutenant.
