During the meeting, the importance of creating the new specialty was highlighted and the roadmap for the next administrative procedures was reviewed. On September 8, the Ministry of Health opened the public hearing and information process, following the end of the prior public consultation period. Once the period for sending contributions has ended, the text will be sent to the Council of State to continue processing.
The general secretary of SEMES, Javier Povar Marco, also participated in the meeting; the second vice president, Carmen Camacho; and Clara Gutiérrez, director of SEMES. On behalf of the Ministry of Health, the Secretary of State for Health, Silvia Calzón, attended; and the general director of Professional Planning, Celia Gómez.
