Atef Al-Shaitani, a reproductive health consultant, stressed the importance of pregnancy-related campaigns, stressing that the state’s efforts in this regard are on the right track.
He added, during a telephone conversation with the “Extra News” satellite channel, today, Saturday, that the state provides a network of health units within all villages of Upper Egypt in line with international standards, in a way that benefits family planning and reproductive services.
He pointed out that the “Your Right to Organize” campaign aims to organize reproduction and the family, by holding awareness and educational campaigns, explaining that 66% of women use family planning services, and that 14% of women may number up to four million women who do not want children, but they do not use them. .
Al-Shaitani explained that family planning campaigns go out to the community and bring people closer through medical convoys, which include nurses, pharmacists, and participating doctors.
He noted that these campaigns meet the demands and meet the needs of certain groups, pointing out that new contraceptive users annually stop using them after a while, because the woman does not obtain all the required information.
