Rabbit NV, in consultation with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (Afsca), announced on Friday that it was withdrawing from sale two pesto pasta salads of the Lunch Corner brand sold in the supermarkets of the Intermarché and Intermarché by Mestdagh.
The company detected traces of cashew nuts, an allergen that is not mentioned on the labels of these products. This issue concerns pesto pasta salads of 400 grams or 1.2 kilo, with the following use-by dates: 07/11/2023, 07/12/2023, 07/16/2023, 07/17/2023, 07/18/2023 and 07/19/2023.
People with a cashew nut allergy are advised not to consume the product and to return it to the point of sale where it was purchased. Non-allergic people can eat these salads without risk.
