20% of people in Manizales are over 60 years old, according to the 2022 Quality of Life Report, carried out by Manizales Cómo Vamos. This shows the accelerated aging of the city, since in 2005 this rate was located at 11%.

But despite this marked trend, the members of this age group in Manizales complain that the city has no public policies or interest in generating adequate infrastructure for them.
