The meetings occurred on Tuesday after a three-member Supreme Court bench directed authorities to ease visitation restrictions and transfer Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for medical treatment. Reports submitted to the court and concerns raised by former President Arif Alvi had cited health symptoms including high blood pressure, anxiety, and an unusually low heart rate. The court ordered that Khan remain under medical supervision at the hospital until the next hearing on September 16, and directed the formation of a monitoring medical board.

Azam Nazeer Tarar Review Challenge Plan
As part of its ruling, the Supreme Court warned that the meetings and Khan’s health issue must not be politicized or used to release medical reports to the media, cautioning that violations could result in the withdrawal of the granted relief. Meanwhile, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar announced in a video statement that the Pakistan government plans to challenge the hospital-transfer order, seeking a review to ensure treatment occurs inside the jail or at a public hospital.
