In all discretion, HTC launches a tablet for emerging markets

Now virtually absent from the smartphone and tablet market – despite the recent launch of a model cut out for the metaverse – HTC almost comes as a surprise when he announces something other than a new VR headset. The Taiwanese manufacturer has just unveiled theA101, a mid-range tablet mainly intended for emerging markets in the African region. The latter is equipped with a 10.1-inch FULL HD screen, a Unisoc SCT618 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 128 GB (+ microSD) storage unit.

Not enough to make the tech-addict wriggle, despite a quite honorable photo unit (16 and 2 megapixels), a 7000 mAh battery, a jack port (yes!), and a port for a 4G Sim card. Everything works under Android 11. HTC has not yet communicated on the price of the book, but for information, the A100 model cost a whopping 350 euros.
