In France, the base salary increased by 3.8% in 2022

The SMB, measured in private companies (excluding agriculture) with 10 or more employees, represents the gross salary, ie before the deduction of social security contributions and the payment of social benefits.

It does not take into account bonuses or overtime.

The index of the basic hourly wage of workers and employees (SHBOE) rose by 0.7% compared to the third quarter and by 4.5% over one year.

More “these developments must be weighed against inflation”recalls Dares, the statistics service of the ministry, in a press release.
