SARREBRUCK – The drivers of two cars, one of which is registered in the Grand Duchy, took foolish risks on a German motorway. The police are looking for witnesses.
Police in Saarbrücken-Burbach were informed by a witness of an illegal car race on the BAB 8 and BAB 620 motorways on Friday followingnoon in Germany. Around 5.30 p.m., a white Golf registered in the district of Saarbrücken and a blue BMW registered in Luxembourg allegedly drove at very excessive speed on the BAB 8 motorway then on the BAB 620, overtaking each other several times on the left and on the right .
The Golf would have left the BAB 620 at the Saarbrücken-Klarenthal junction. The BMW would have continued on its way towards Homburg. Road users who might provide information on this chase or who would have been endangered by it are asked to contact the Saarbrücken-Burbach police inspectorate by telephone (0681/97150) or by email (pi [email protected]).
