HEIGS is a Swiss luxury fashion house founded in 2021 that specializes in high-quality leather goods and residential objects.
At the center of the house’s work is Heidi, the symbol of a Swiss mountain girl who sets off on a safari around the world.
The brand skillfully fuses Swiss design and French craftsmanship to create elegant, sophisticated and understated luxury.
The first bag collection includes two timeless yet versatile models made to order: “En Suisse” and “À Zurich”. Each of them is made in 153 artistic steps of Haute Maroquinerie. This is how handmade bags of incomparable elegance and lightness are created.
Each Heigs bag is unique, made to order and is characterized by elegant details such as the double floral closure with the embossed logo.
The smooth, full-grain “Safari” calfskin develops a beautiful patina over time, reflecting its owner’s unique personality and journey.
A special design element of the collection is the interchangeable lining in each bag. The lining can be removed and replaced with fabrics in different colors and antique fabrics, such as Toile de Jouy and our “Ballerine” lining, made entirely from ballet shoe materials.
By bringing together Swiss precision and French savoir-faire, Heigs creates timeless heirlooms that can be passed down through generations. The collection is made from leather in deep burgundy, warm light brown and rich anthracite.
The journey begins with the En Suisse and A Zurich bags in Switzerland, but our goal is to expand our product category to all our favorite cities.
Currently, Heigs is working on a clothing line that features only one-of-a-kind “iconic pieces” that will forever hold a place in your closet.
Founder and Creative Director Johanna van der Drift started her career as an interior designer and stylist for hotels. She lives and works between Paris and Switzerland.
Co-founder of the house Daan van Luijn comes from Meta and Amazon, where he developed creative strategy for leading brands in luxury fashion. He currently lives in London. Heigs is deeply committed to supporting and collaborating with artists to foster a vibrant creative community characterized by passion and professional exchange.
