In her “Quantika” cycle, the Geneva writer Laurence Suhner becomes a space guide

The first volume of QuantikaLaurence Suhner’s trilogy which precedes the recent Ziusudra, She who knows, begins in the snow, and with severe trouble. Haziel Delaurier, an adventurous engineer, struggles in his snowcat, a tracked all-terrain vehicle adapted to snow. But dilapidated: his “bike” is at the end of it. To make matters worse, the blast, an icy wind from this planet, begins to blow harder and harder, especially on the transponder road, which serves as its boulevard. And Haziel goes to a particular site, where a bomb exploded. Acts of resistance are becoming more and more frequent. Welcome to Gemma, planet (exoplanet, from our current point of view) where -60° are common, which lives under two suns, and where mineral workers, soldiers and clandestine militants are exhausted. The latter are in favor of a kind of independence of the planet, under the control of a station which governs it from a distance.
