However, this is not necessarily due to the virus, but rather to the human being: “A large proportion of people today have antibodies from vaccinations or infections. Reinfections are milder as a result, ”says Stöhr.

It is true that all measures cannot be stopped in one fell swoop. “But we should initiate a step-by-step de-escalation, take back targeted measures and then see how the situation develops,” demands the scientist.
The quarantine obligation for contact persons who are vaccinated can be lifted again. Series tests in schools are also “currently less and less proportionate from my perspective”. The goal must be that a problem is solved with every measure.
