In Nepal, a private plane with 22 people in it disappeared from radar, Asian News International reported.
Four Indian citizens are known to have been among the passengers.
This aircraft is owned by Tara Air. It was flying from the tourist city of Pokhara to Jomsom in western Nepal.
It was seen in the sky in the arrival city in Mustang district, but then it flew towards Mount Dhaulagiri, Netra Municipality Chief Prasad Sharma said.
Two private helicopters flew into the search area, Nepalese police spokesman Ram Kumar Dani said.
The military also joined the search and rescue operation.
