In “Nope”, the sky has teeth

On a remote ranch deep in a California valley, OJ Haywood (Daniel Kaluuya) and his father train horses for Hollywood. One morning like any other, a din resounds in the sky and suddenly there is a hail of scrap metal. A key is planted in the rump of a horse, a coin splits the eye and the brain of the daron. He bleeds profusely and dies. This irrational drama is coupled with an interior scene uniting a bloodied chimpanzee and an unconscious woman… Nope gets off to a flying start – and gets bogged down quickly.
