In Oman, 138 more people were released from prisons through the Fak Kuruba project

Muscat: Another 138 people have been released from various prisons in Oman through the Fak Kuruba project. The highest number of prison release is from Dhofar Governorate. 67 people were released from here. Earlier, 817 people were released under the scheme at various stages. This brings the total number of releaseees in the scheme to 1055. Fak Kuruba is a project to help release prisoners who have failed to pay fines for minor offenses. The Fak Kuruba project is led by the Oman Lawyers Association. Prisoners are being released by raising money from the public.
