A tanker ran aground in the St. Lawrence River near Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent, in Centre-du-Québec, on Saturday.
A witness reported the incident to TVA Nouvelles in the morning following he noticed that the boat was in trouble.
According to the Canadian Coast Guard, the vessel suffered a motor loss in the Cape Charles curve.

So far, no fuel or oil leaks have been detected in the waters of the river.
