The executive bodies in Qalyubia Governorate held an initiative to raise awareness of reproductive health and family planning through the presidential initiative “You have the right to organize.”
This came in the presence of Dr. Narmin Adly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the organizer of the meeting of the Community Participation Committee, and Reda Abdel Rahim, director of the Population Unit and the Central Statistics Department in the governorate, Naglaa Al-Farmawy, director of the Human Rights and Youth Initiatives Unit in the governorate, and a large number of community service doctors in medicine. Benha, within the framework of continuous integration and cooperation between the governorate, Benha City Council and Benha University in the field of local development for society and the environment.
The conference dealt with raising awareness of the concept of family planning and reproductive health through the presidential initiative (You have the right to organize), where there was talk about the importance of family planning and the importance of a pre-marriage medical examination to ensure the safety and health of the prospective spouses.
The methods of family planning, their types and how to use them were also reviewed. The symposium also dealt with the human right to belong to a healthy family and enjoy all its human rights through family planning.
It should be noted that improving demographic characteristics and indicators and moving forward with family planning steps in Egypt has become an urgent necessity to bring about comprehensive and sustainable development in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and for every citizen in this country to feel the fruits of development, as the population increase annually devours all development efforts and the returns of great achievements that It takes place on the beloved land of Egypt.
