Russian forces took control of one of the buildings belonging to the “Azum” iron and steel factory in the city of Bakhmut, following they began storming it a few days ago.
According to a Russian source, the intended building in the “Azum” factory is the same one that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had visited earlier in support of his soldiers, in which he distributed “medals” to the Ukrainian soldiers.
“Sputnik” quoted the source as saying that the “Wagner” fighters took control of one of the buildings of the “Vostokmash” company located in the northern part of the Azum factory, where Zelensky was distributing medals to the Ukrainian army in this place on December 20.
It is worth noting that the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Alexander Sersky, confirmed to Ukrainian media yesterday, Monday, that the situation on the contact line in the Bakhmut region “is still difficult,” adding, “Wagner’s offensive forces are advancing in several directions in an attempt to penetrate the defenses of our forces and advance to the central regions.” from the city”.
For his part, the founder of the “Wagner” forces, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said on Sunday that the fighters of his group continue to move forward despite the fact that the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is throwing more and more new reserves into the battle.
