In Poland outlined the consequences of the defeat of the United States in Ukraine

Kaczynski said it would be more serious than the failure in Vietnam

Poland’s deputy prime minister and head of the ruling Law and Justice party, Jarosław Kaczynski, said that if the US and the West were defeated in Ukraine, the consequences would be worse than the failure of campaigns in Vietnam or Afghanistan.

“Please note that the defeat of the West, primarily America, in Ukraine will be something more serious than Vietnam, not to mention Afghanistan,” the politician said in an interview with the weekly newspaper Gazeta Polska.

Kaczynski added that the West “does not need to avoid” a military conflict with Russia, as the fear of escalation on its part “in a sense” makes its position weaker, in contrast to the opponent, who, according to the deputy prime minister, is much more uncompromising.

French President Emmanuel Macron, against this background, expressed a different point of view. During a visit to Romania, he said that the Ukrainian authorities would be “doomed” to sit down at the negotiating table with Moscow after the introduction of a ceasefire.

He also noted that he had repeatedly told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Russia is a great power, and therefore Europeans will have to coexist with it on the same continent.

In addition, Macron said that always opposed the idea “start a war” with Russia and “destroy” it.

The day before, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, in an interview with Wprost, said that in the event of a Russian “invasion”, Warsaw can put under arms 40 million people. At the same time, the publication noted that this is more than the country’s population (38 million people).
