The monetary turning point of 2022 changes the real estate situation. Le Temps offers you a series of articles and external contributions to take stock of the resulting issues. The theme is on the bill of the Real Estate Forum which will take place on Thursday May 4, at 4.30 p.m., in Lausanne. Information here, registration from mid-March.

Every five years, the Federal Office for Spatial Planning (OFAT) publishes its statistics on the development of building zones in Switzerland. The figures for the year 2022 have just been released. First observation: the total surface area of residential areas in Switzerland has hardly changed since the last survey. Currently, 16% of these building plots are unbuilt. This is just a little less than in 2017. Second observation: in most cantons, the unbuilt residential areas are sufficient to absorb the demographic growth of the next fifteen years.
