Vienna (OTS) – The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine will soon enter its third year. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is blocking EU aid to Ukraine. And further financial support from the USA is probably off the table this year; an agreement in the US Congress is not yet in sight. Is Western solidarity with Ukraine crumbling and what are the military scenarios for the next few months? Russian President Vladimir Putin cites Ukraine’s neutral status and demilitarization as conditions for an end to hostilities. Is he sitting tighter than ever in the saddle? What significance will the elections in Russia and the USA have and are we in a new Cold War?
