Vienna (OTS) – The middle of the party spectrum is losing voters, as the state elections in Salzburg showed. The surprise success of the KPÖ and the good result of the FPÖ are another sign of this trend. But what are the reasons for this? What drives people to the political fringes? Are the former major parties no longer able to recognize the needs of the voters? The Corona policy has divided society, the consequences of the Ukraine war, the high energy costs and the inflation, which is enormous even compared to Europe, create a permanent crisis mode. Has the government taken the right path to solving the problems, or rather increased people’s dissatisfaction? What are the recipes for successful social policy and what ideas for the future can bring the republic forward?
