In the first half of the year, RMB loans in Shaanxi Province increased by 283.984 billion yuan

According to the latest financial statistics released by the Xi’an Branch of the People’s Bank of China, at the end of June 2022, RMB loans in Shaanxi Province increased by 11.27% year-on-year, and loans to enterprises (institutions) increased more. Renminbi deposits in Shaanxi Province increased by 14.08% year-on-year, and household deposits and non-financial corporate deposits increased significantly.
At the end of June, the balance of local and foreign currency loans in Shaanxi Province was 4,716.391 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.07%. At the end of the month, the balance of RMB loans was 4,689.359 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.27%, and the growth rate was 0.40 and 2.66 percentage points lower than that at the end of the previous month and the same period of the previous year, respectively.
In the first half of the year, RMB loans in Shaanxi Province increased by 283.984 billion yuan, a decrease of 40.022 billion yuan year-on-year. By sector, household loans increased by 49.698 billion yuan, a decrease of 68.770 billion yuan year-on-year, of which short-term loans increased by 7.281 billion yuan, medium and long-term loans increased by 42.417 billion yuan; corporate (institution) loans increased by 232.624 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase 27.078 billion yuan, of which, short-term loans increased by 70.286 billion yuan, medium and long-term loans increased by 117.000 billion yuan, and bill financing increased by 45.971 billion yuan. In June, RMB loans increased by 79.779 billion yuan, a decrease of 6.921 billion yuan year-on-year.
At the end of June, the balance of foreign currency loans in Shaanxi Province was 4.028 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 17.61%. In the first half of the year, foreign currency loans decreased by US$1.079 billion, a year-on-year decrease of US$1.672 billion. In June, foreign currency loans decreased by US$85 million, a year-on-year decrease of US$147 million.
At the end of June, the balance of local and foreign currency deposits in Shaanxi Province was 5,982.805 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.18%. The balance of RMB deposits at the end of the month was 5,935.242 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.08%, and the growth rate was 0.24 and 5.71 percentage points higher than that at the end of the previous month and the same period of the previous year, respectively.
In the first half of the year, RMB deposits in Shaanxi Province increased by 522.228 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 228.729 billion yuan. Among them, household deposits increased by 281.789 billion yuan, non-financial corporate deposits increased by 198.334 billion yuan, institutional deposits increased by 16.841 billion yuan, fiscal deposits increased by 34.621 billion yuan, and non-banking financial institutions deposits decreased by 9.111 billion yuan. In June, RMB deposits increased by 152.310 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.640 billion yuan.
At the end of June, the balance of foreign currency deposits in Shaanxi Province was US$7.087 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.43%. In the first half of the year, foreign currency deposits decreased by USD 676 million, an increase of USD 925 million year-on-year. In June, foreign currency deposits increased by US$69 million, a decrease of US$174 million year-on-year.
