An Instagram video in which we see the leader of Memphis with a gun in the middle of a strip club, only a few days after the publication of an article by Washington Post reporting very serious accusations against him.
Let’s quickly recall the facts to really understand the new controversy surrounding the Grizzlies superstar since last night.
If we believe the Washington Post, Ja Morant and one of his buddies repeatedly punched a 17-year-old young man last summer during a pick-up game at Morant’s home. A physical altercation which started when the youngster swung the ball in the direction of Ja’s face, who felt threatened by the behavior deemed aggressive by the teenager. According to the latter, the leader of Memphis would then have entered his palace to look for a firearm which he would have pointed in the direction of the young man. Claiming self-defense and accusing the teenager of having uttered threats against his family, Ja Morant was ultimately not prosecuted for lack of tangible evidence.
It is therefore in this context, a context also marked by other disturbing cases involving Ja Morant, that the latter distinguished himself this weekend at the end of his match against the Nuggets.
