In the next government equation.. Basil is not the same as before?

Independent MP Bilal Hashimi saw that the targeting of the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil, of the caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, is not an accident in the political arena. Passing through former President Michel Aoun’s explosive message to Parliament, leading to Aoun’s acceptance of the government’s resignation hours before his evacuation of Baabda Palace, all of them are controversial stations fueled by the son-in-law in an attempt to ensure his position in the political equation during the post-Aouni era.

Hashimi pointed out, in a statement to the Kuwaiti Al-Anbaa, that Bassil is looking, under the title of defending the powers of the President of the Republic and the rights of Christians, for a political victory by directing his arrows towards the first Sunni position in the country, after his arrows that he fired at President Nabih Berri bounced back at him. And after his ally Hezbollah abandoned him on the issue of the presidential election in favor of his rival, former minister Suleiman Franjieh, noting that President Mikati proved during his time at the head of the executive authority that he is a decisive decision-maker, and the most keen on the constitution, the powers of the President of the Republic and the rights of Christians, and he said, “Enough with the orange.” Politics is populism that does not revive glories that have become a thing of the past.

The independent deputy confirmed that Basil, who lost his political influence with the end of his uncle’s presidential term, and who realized that it was impossible for him to reach Baabda Palace, is trying through his foreign tours, and by announcing an initiative regarding the presidential elections, in addition to his visits to political and party references, the last of which was with the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt. To be the maker of the president, because he believes that by excluding Franjieh, Michel Moawad, and Army Commander Joseph Aoun from the presidential race, he will be able to deliver a president who bears orange fingerprints, ensuring his continuity of influence in the next government equation, and paves the way for him after six years to Baabda Palace, and this is what he will not. It happens because all political forces, without exception, including its ally Hezbollah, no longer secure him and him, confirming in other words that Basil has left the sphere of influence and power, and will not be in the next government equation as he was during his uncle’s era, and the Lebanese therefore have nothing but to « Finding the exits from the tunnel into which the Aoun-Bassil-Hezbollah trio pushed them.

Hashimi asked: “Where was Basil regarding the rights of Christians when his uncle’s reign caused Christian youth to emigrate in frightening numbers alongside Muslim youth, in search of a socially, financially, health, environmentally and educationally secure future? Six years of Basilian rule, disguised as Aounist rule, was enough to destroy the hopes of Christians and Muslims alike, humiliate them in the lines of medicine and gasoline, and thus make them sail towards security and safety.

He added, “Where was his jealousy over the rights of Christians by appointing Hassan Diab as prime minister that impoverished the Lebanese and established, in solidarity and solidarity with his uncle, the former president, the economic collapse, and therefore the bankruptcy of Lebanon, not to mention its deliberate marginalization of the rights of the Sunni community and its primary role in the political structure?”
