In the UK began to rent coffins because of the crisis

Funerals in the UK cost thousands of pounds and coffins make up the lion’s share of the cost. Some funeral homes have begun offering to rent them to cut costs.

According to the publication Metro, the cheapest traditional coffins made of oak, cherry or maple in the country cost 450 pounds (39,757 rubles). The most expensive – cost 2650 pounds (234,127 rubles).

Many British families are now struggling with rising electricity and fuel costs, and finding money for expensive funerals is becoming an additional burden for them.

Therefore, undertakers began offering to rent coffins with removable liners. Rented coffins are used for worship and even for burial. Later, the liners with the bodies are removed. The deceased is cremated or buried in a cardboard box. Willow products with inserts cost only 250 pounds (22,087 rubles).

Sellers of ritual products do not see anything shocking in such a practice. If you can rent a wedding dress, then why can’t you do the same with a coffin?
