Actually only female cons sit in the “Edna Mahan” prison for women – but now two of them are pregnant! How does something like that work?
Curious case in the US state of New Jersey. Demi Minor (27), convicted of manslaughter, is a trans woman, i.e. a man from a biological point of view. But she was housed in a prison for women.

This is possible under a 2021 transgender law in New Jersey, provided convicts feel they belong to a different gender.
But: Because Minor got two of her fellow inmates pregnant, she was now taken to another prison. She is now the only woman there.
