The local Live 95.5 radio station in the city of Portland in the United States will have a rather special presenter. Indeed, it will have almost the same voice as the main host, but a little more robotic all the same.
Host Ashley Elzinga will now be accompanied by a joint assistant. The one we will call AI Ashley is a form of RadioGPT artificial intelligence designed to perfectly imitate the voice of the presenter.
The operation of RadioGPT is quite simple. It is simply a generative artificial intelligence of text, using GPT 4 technology, which is then linked to an artificial voice which will read the generated text.
To ensure the quality of what is said, human stakeholders are however necessary to correct and reread the creations of artificial intelligence.
It should be noted, however, that AI Ashley will not completely replace his congener of flesh and bone. Indeed, the main presenter will continue to take care of certain segments of the show, and will take advantage of the story time offered by the robot to tackle other tasks such as managing social networks…
