The price of a gram of 14 karat gold was about 644.21 pounds, and the price of a gram of 12 karat gold was about 552.18 pounds, while a gram of 9 karat gold amounted to about 414.14 pounds.
The price of a kilo of 24 karat gold, about 1104 thousand Egyptian pounds, and weighs 1000 grams.
On the global level, spot gold fell 0.5% to $1854.21 an ounce, and US gold futures fell 0.5% to $1854.40 an ounce.
As for other precious metals, the price of silver in spot transactions fell 0.3% to $22.57 an ounce, and the price of platinum rose 0.3% to $938.34 an ounce, while palladium rose 0.9% to $2236.43 an ounce.
