Al-Marsad newspaper: Marihan Al-Baz, the first Saudi car mechanic, revealed the society’s reactions towards her following her work in the field of car repair.
During an interview with her on the “My Lady” program broadcast on the Gulf Rotana channel, she said: The reaction to her was divided between pride, admiration and rejection,” pointing out that they are expected and natural reactions.
She indicated that she was subjected to very bad situations in the workshop area, and went on to say: “There are men who used to enter and say, ‘Get out from here, what did you enter here’?”
She explained that working in the field of car repair does not require physical strength, pointing out that technology and modern tools help a lot in the work.
