In Turkey, inflation falls below 40% for the first time in 16 months

For the first time in sixteen months, one-year inflation fell below 40% in Turkey, the Turkish Statistical Institute (Tuik) said on Monday. Figures obtained in particular thanks to one of the flagship measures of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s campaign: free 25 cubic meters of gas per month until May 2024.
