INAEBA Calls on Guanajuato Civil Associations to Support Inclusive Education for adults with disabilities

León, Guanajuato, Mexico – April 7, 2025 – The Institute of Literacy and Basic Education for Adults (INAEBA) is actively seeking partnerships with civil associations in Guanajuato to advance accessible and inclusive education for adults with disabilities. This initiative aims to provide individuals with mild intellectual, visual, or auditory disabilities the chance to obtain official primary or secondary education certificates.

A Commitment to Accessible Education

Spearheaded by Governor Libya Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, the State Government of Guanajuato is committed to delivering education to all residents over the age of 15 who face educational disadvantages. INAEBA plays a vital role in this commitment by forging strategic alliances with social organizations that possess expertise in serving vulnerable populations.

These collaborations will enable individuals with disabilities, already receiving educational support from civil associations, to officially validate their knowledge through INAEBA’s flexible educational models. These models are meticulously designed to accommodate individual needs, ensuring that all students can achieve certification with official validity. This approach mirrors the growing emphasis in the U.S. on personalized learning and accommodations for students with disabilities, as mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

COA Platform: A Digital Tool for Inclusive Learning

To facilitate accessible learning, INAEBA offers the COA platform (learning communities), a digital tool specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals with mild intellectual, visual, and auditory disabilities. The COA platform boasts accessibility features that enable inclusive, safe, and flexible access to content, advising, and online evaluations. This type of digital accessibility aligns with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards increasingly being applied to online educational resources in the United States, guaranteeing digital inclusion for all learners.
