Abu Dhabi: UAE rejects EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell’s racist remarks The UAE is of the view that the remarks are inappropriate and discriminatory.

The UAE noted that the references to values such as pluralism, coexistence and tolerance and the time when everyone is aware are disappointing. The European Union’s remark was that Europe is a garden, but most of the world is a forest, and the forest can invade the garden. Various countries have come out against the remark which leads to intolerance and discrimination.
The UAE also asked the acting head of the EU delegation in the UAE, Emil Poulsen, to give a written explanation on the matter.
