Entitled “Patrick”, this single intends to denounce the hateful comments and the harassment of which the Belgian artist is the target on social networks. Ironically, the performance of this song brought with it… its new batch of critics.
On Twitter, many Internet users have regretted the poor sound quality of the performance. Angèle’s voice, considered too weak, was particularly criticized.
“No matter how much I turn the volume up, I can’t hear his voice?” asks a user. “Sound problem? Too bad”, laments another. “I do not understand a word of what she sings”; “Inaudible words”; “We only hear the applause”, could we still read on Twitter.
For the defense of the Brussels woman, this is not the first time that a musical performance on the set of Daily life has been criticized. Audience applause is regularly accused of “covering up” artists’ words.
