Incident at Europa-Park: Injuries at Germany’s Largest Amusement Park

The incident in Germany’s largest amusement park is said to have occurred during a demonstration in a water basin. The exact background is not yet known. Three people had to be taken to the hospital.

According to the police, seven people were injured in the accident at Europa-Park in Rust near Freiburg in southern Germany – five artists and two visitors. A spokeswoman said on Monday evening that three of them had been taken to the hospital. Around 5:00 p.m., witnesses observed an incident during a performance in a pool of water. The background to this would still be determined.

It was only in June that there was a big fire in a technical room of an attraction in the Europapark in Rust. A large contingent of emergency services finally brought the fire under control. Seven firefighters were slightly injured.
