Saturday November 18, 2023, around 5:20 p.m., a driver at the wheel of her vehicle, traveling at the entrance to Chemin de la Perche in Porrentruy, was surprised by the release of smoke followed by flames coming from the engine hood of her car due to a Technical problem.
When the Porrentruy municipal police arrived with the assistance of the cantonal police, the vehicle in question was already engulfed in flames, which caused a significant release of smoke.
The fire service (CRISP) was engaged to contain the fire. (10 men, 4 vehicles). The Courgenay road was temporarily closed to traffic.
No person was inconvenienced and no vehicle suffered damage following this event.
