This seventh day of the Gentse Feesten brought together some 205,000 people and was more turbulent than the previous ones. Police have documented a few incidents, including two where officers had to use force. In all, 11 brawls broke out throughout the day, a fairly low number compared to the crowd present on the spot, qualified the police.
A 26-year-old man was also arrested after he was caught filming women by slipping his mobile phone under the toilet partition. He had to give his mobile phone to the authorities before being released with, among other things, a ban on showing up at the Ghent Festival. He will be summoned later by the prosecution.
The Red Cross also took care of 157 people and the ambulance was called upon 20 times during the day on Thursday. Thirty-three people also presented to the emergency services and four required hospitalization.
