Increase in trade in 2021

Morocco’s trade with Africa increased by 29.8% in 2021, or 10.6 billion dirhams (MMDH), following two years of decline, according to the Office des Changes.

Egypt remains, for the third consecutive year, the main African partner of the Kingdom, followed by Algeria, Tunisia and Côte d’Ivoire, specifies the Office in its annual report on Morocco’s foreign trade in 2021.

These four countries represent almost half of trade (47.9%), notes the same source.

In addition, said report indicates that the trade balance with Africa marks a trade surplus of 6.3 billion dirhams, down 16% compared to 2020.
