At X, the Italian said he was disappointed not to continue in the competition. “I had discomfort in my hips throughout the week and it was getting more and more painful. We decided not to play so as not to aggravate the situation after consulting the doctors.”

Sinner also indicated that he would undergo further medical examinations in the coming days and that he would follow the recommendations of specialists. The countdown to the Masters 1000 in Rome has started for him.
